Hocomo approached us with the goal of creating their inaugural web app – a location-specific website featuring a visual house configurator and an intuitive admin panel. Specialising in customisable container-module houses, Hocomo's goal was to streamline the inquiry process for potential clients, allowing them to design and personalise their dream homes within a user-friendly digital environment.
The primary challenge was to seamlessly integrate the visual house configurator with real-time adjustments to the overview image based on user-selected settings. Additionally, Hocomo required a comprehensive solution allowing clients to send inquiries, manage content without coding, and monitor sales, configurations, and pricing. The evolving needs presented challenges in adapting to dynamic requirements, including the necessity to manage multiple domains independently for the European market.
To meet Hocomo's needs, we developed a highly scalable website using next.js and integrated it with Prismic, a content management system. Leveraging next.js for server-side rendering facilitated fast, static website construction and enhanced the user experience. The visual house configurator replaced a traditional form, enabling users to customise components in real-time and receive visualisations via email. Prismic CMS handled website content, while an administration panel was built for managing client configurations and dynamically calculating financial details. Integration with Google Sheets eased price management, and AWS Amplify ensured secure and efficient user and database access management.
The project evolved from a basic landing page to a sophisticated, location-specific visual configurator with over 100 thousand monthly visits and a substantial number of inquiries. The seamless integration of the visual configurator significantly improved user engagement. The admin panel not only provided insight into configurations but evolved to offer comprehensive features like margin adjustments, discounts, house option modifications, and automated financial calculations. The system's efficiency was further enhanced by integrating with Google Sheets, streamlining price management. The overall impact included a positive user experience, increased functionality, and ongoing improvements, positioning Hocomo as a leader in the customizable housing market.
